The 25 volunteers collected all the rubbish at the University of Crete in just two hours

The temperatures are high and the heat is stifling, but that didn’t stop the University of Crete Green Team from getting off the couch and doing a great “gift” to the environment.

25 volunteers, full of appetite, made an appointment outside the University and managed to collect 20 bags of rubbish, while they also had many surprises in store.

All 25 cleaned up the old signboard of the University of Crete, and proceeded to insulate walls. From pallets to… basins.

As emphasized in their statement, all this took only two hours!

“Two hours to separate the scattered green beds from the rubbish they have been hosting for some time.

So from today the university’s courtyard will be a little cleaner, something we owe to the help of all of you. From high school students to PhD students. And of course Youthtopia and ATAXTOI, without their support we wouldn’t have made it.

Finally, a big thank you to the Stelios-Stella Carteros Nursery, who gave us the gifts for our volunteers.

Our University needs us. It is therefore time to listen to it.” They stress in their statement.
